In Partnership with the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn

KidRec has partnered with the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn to provide two hands-on, experiential learning exhibits for children in Tots Landing.  The first exhibit is a veterinary area where kids can take care of animals, it promotes having empathy and the drive to help others. The building exhibit provides different blocks kids can build with, which bolsters critical thinking skills. Both areas aim to teach cooperative play in a fun environment.  The museum plans to change out exhibits periodically over the course of the year.  FitRec is very excited to be able to support the mission of the museum, which is to positively impact a child’s life through play-based education, and enhance the opportunities for our FitRec members in KidRec.
