The state of Illinois lifted its “Tier 3 Resurgance Mitigations” and FitRec resumed its in-person group fitness classes in January 2021.  The Spring Session 2022 group fitness schedule below will run from January 17 until May 22, 2022.  As FitRec continues to monitor the regional restrictions, please be aware that restrictions may changed at any time.  Please remember that in-person group fitness classes are by reservation only (see below for reservation instructions) and may have capacity limits to promote social distancing.  FitRec appreciates your patience and understanding as it adjusts its programs and services to ensure safety and compliance with state-wide restrictions.  

FitRec offers a variety of options to fit a wide range of interest and need with more than 55+ classes a week FREE with a FitRec membership. Classes are led by certified fitness instructors that have expertise in motivating and supporting members in a group setting. Formats include cardio conditioning, dance, strength training, aquatics, cycling, mind body and much more! Our facility features four exercise studios and lap pool including state-of-the-art equipment in all areas. Group fitness instructors are skilled in teaching a wide range of students, so drop into a class today.

For the safety of all participants, it is at the instructor’s discretion whether participants are allowed into studio after start of class.

How to Register & Check-In for Group Fitness Classes:

Registration opens at 12 pm; three days in advance of class.

How to Register for Group Fitness classes:

  1. Stop by Membership Services to register in person.
  2. Download the FitRec Account app –
    • Must be a current FitRec member to use the app
    • Obtain log-in information from Membership Services
    • Register per class under “Classes” > “Free w/ Membership”

How to Check-In for Group Fitness Classes:

  1. Check-in for your registered class at the Front Entrance desk for aqua classes or at the Fitness Floor desk on the second floor for studio classes.
  2. All participants MUST check-in before entry into group fitness classes, so your attendance can be recorded.

Adjusted Group Fitness Schedule Dates  for Spring Session 2022 (January 17-May 22, 2022): 

No classes on Sunday, February 27 due to the Indoor Triathlon/Duathlon.
No classes on Sunday, April 17 for Easter Sunday.
