FitRec Rewards

FitRec Rewards is our loyalty program that rewards you for participation at FitRec! In February 2019, FitRec partnered with Perkville to continue to provide its members with a quality rewards program. There are various ways to earn points which you can redeem for awesome FitRec prizes. 

Our members mean a lot to us, and this program is just one way to recognize you for your loyalty and participation in our programs and facility. Plus, it is totally FREE – so activate and start earning your FitRec Rewards points today!

How to Join

For any members who were a part of the original FitRec Rewards program, your account has already been transferred to Perkville and you should be receiving an e-mail invitation to register your new account with Perkville online. If you did not receive this e-mail invitation to register, please reach out to Membership Services or contact Perkville Support at support@perkville.com. 

As a FitRec member, if you provided an email address during your membership registration process, you will be pre-enrolled in the program – all you have to do is visit www.perkville.com/biz/8880/, and activate your account. Once you are done with this process, you will receive 50 points just for activating.

How to Activate Your Account

To activate your account, follow the steps below:

1. Go to www.perkville.com/biz/8880/
2. On the upper right-hand side, click on the “Sign-In” link.
3. Click on the “Sign In” button at the bottom of the page next to the phrase “Don’t have an account?”
4. Enter your e-mail address into the box and hit the “Sign Up” button.
5. Follow the prompts on the e-mail invitation you receive from Perkville to set up your rewards account.
6. Once you complete the process, you will have access to your new FitRec Rewards account and check reward point balances and make changes to your account.

How FitRec Rewards Works

Earn points for everyday activities like visiting FitRec, participating in programs, referring friends, and more, then redeem them for exclusive rewards and perks. Visit our FAQs for a complete list of ways to earn and redeem points, plus full program details and policies.

We have made it very easy for you to earn points with FitRec Rewards! Some of the ways do not ever require you to lift a finger. Check out a sample list of actions below that can help you earn points. Watch for new actions and special promotions to earn extra points!

  • 5 points: Daily check-in at FitRec (once per day)
  • 25 points: Every day attended of Kid’s Summer Camp (cannot exceed 25 points per day)^
  • 25 points: Every lesson or session attended for group or preschool swim lessons as well as Pilates Springboard^
  • 40 points: Every 1-on-1 private swim lesson or Personal Training session attended^
  • 50 points: Activate your FitRec Rewards account (it’s FREE!)
  • 150 points: Attending an applicable FitRec special event
  • 1000 points: The friend you referred joins the club with their own membership and checks into the facility*

*does not apply to one-month or student memberships.  Must be a new member and referral e-mail must be sent to Fatima Duran before new member joins.

There are a variety of FitRec prizes you can earn by redeeming your FitRec Rewards points — all you have to do is find the prize you want to earn, reach the point level and redeem for your prize! Must have an active FitRec membership to redeem reward points.  Below are some examples of FitRec prizes you can redeem with your accumulated points.

  • 500 points = Free Guest Pass to FitRec
  • 500 points = 10 percent off an entire Pro Shop purchase
  • 1000 points = A FitRec short-sleeved t-shirt
  • 1500 points = A FitRec long-sleeved t-shirt
  • 1500 points = $25 FitRec gift card
  • 2500 points = A free Pilates Springboard session
  • 2500 points = 2 free swim lessons
  • 3000 points = 20 percent off a 10- or 20-session Personal Training package
  • 4000 points = A free locker rental for 6 months
  • 5000 points = 1 free week of Kid’s Summer Camp

If you are ready to redeem points, log into your FitRec Rewards account and click “Redeem my Points.” For FitRec prizes, please stop by Membership Services to redeem the prize after submitting the online request. All other prizes will be shipped to the address listed on your FitRec Rewards account in 10-14 business days.

As long as you have an active FitRec membership, your points do not expire. If you cancel or freeze your membership or it becomes inactive for any reason, your points will be frozen. As soon as your membership becomes active again, your points will be available.

FitRec Rewards is not available for 1-month members. It is only available for members paying monthly or annually.

Points will not be awarded for payments toward your monthly memberships dues, any locker rentals or gift card purchases.

The system only recognizes members or students with active memberships. If you are frozen, or inactive for any reason, your FitRec Rewards account will be inactive for use.

This could be caused by something as simple as a mistype in your name, email, or phone number. Please double check your spelling. If it still is giving you the error, please call Membership Services, or email Fatima Duran at fatima.duran@morainevalley.edu, to update/verify your information. The information provided during your membership registration could have been mis-typed into our system.

Please allow 24-48 hours for points to appear. Contact Membership Services if you have any questions.

We are currently experiencing a delay in the points being placed on accounts. Please give the system at least one week to update. If you do not see your points after this time, please e-mail Fatima Duran at fatima.duran@morainevalley.edu. 

FitRec Rewards is not available for 1-month members. It is only available for members paying monthly or annually.

The same email can be used for multiple people, but different passwords must be created. Please make sure all members have an email listed on file with Membership Services. We recommend members use a separate email address if they are over 16 years old.

The individual participating in the program will receive the points.

Points will be awarded only for purchases made after your FitRec Rewards account is activated.

The main member on your FitRec membership account will have the ability to combine the points of the dependents and/or spouses listed on the account. Please reach out to Fatima Duran at fatima.duran@morainevalley.edu regarding transferring points.

If FitRec feels there is wrongful activity on your rewards account or with your FitRec membership, FitRec has the ability to take away points or deactivate your rewards account and/or membership. Members will be contacted before this occurs to discuss the outcome.

Points for referring a friend that joins FitRec

  • Current member must submit a referral request via Perkville PRIOR to their individual signing up for a new membership.
  • The guest who you referred must purchase a monthly or annual membership to qualify for the referral points and check in to the facility at least once after purchasing their membership.
  • Points will not be awarded for guests who purchase guest passes or a 1-month membership.

Please note: Points will NOT be awarded for referring current FitRec members or Moraine Valley students. Referrals only apply to new members who have not previously been a member or sub-member of the HFRC.

Referral FAQ

Points will be issued only for referring a community member.

Points will be awarded only for referrals that result in a new membership created. Any referral that results in changing an existing membership type will not qualify for the referral points.

    • I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t participate in the FitRec Rewards program. It’s easy and free. Unlike some loyalty programs at grocery or hardware stores that require pushing coupons to an account, FitRec Rewards participants do nothing except join and redeem points for gifts. Both of these activities are performed online and take a couple of minutes each.

      I’ve received points initially for signing up, annually for my membership anniversary and my birthday, each day I attend the gym and special gym events, and when I redeem my points (that was surprising!) I have redeemed my points more than once so far, each time for a $25 gift certificate which I applied to my monthly dues. That’s free money.

    • I have been a Breakfast Club Member of FitRec since 01/2015, this fits my schedule perfectly, my experience has been wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and always willing to help. I enjoy all the classes offered and partake in many of them. The points based system is very user friendly and allowed me to expand my work outs and knowledge by using them at the center for a personal trainer.

      I have been involved with other facilities and the FitRec Center is the best by far, clean, well lit and pleasant atmosphere. The fees are fair for the services offered. Looking forward too many more years of being a member and to see what new amenities may be offered as your staff grows. Thanks for opening to the local public and neighbors.

    • I’ve been with the Health, Fitness and Recreation Center since day one. When I was introduced to the rewards program, I was pleasantly surprised to find out how easy it was. Every time I check in, I acquire reward points. I’m there quite regularly so my points added up quickly.

      I strictly swim, so a couple bathing caps and a couple pair of googles have been purchased with my FitRec rewards. I would of paid close to $40.00 if I would of gone to a sports equipment center. That is a substantial savings for using the health club rewards program on a regular basis.

    • I received a $25 gift card. The process was very easy. I totally forgot I redeemed the gift card and the friendly staff reminded me to pick it up. Applying it to my monthly membership was pretty easy too.

    • Sad to leave behind points, but while I was there I did get two sizes of gym bags, two colors of jackets, a watch, and and arm band to hold my I-pod while there. However, getting more points every time I renewed membership or purchased more training sessions with Mary was a great perk!
