Youth Fitness Program – Summer 2022

The Youth Fitness Program educates children ages 8-13 who are ready to learn about fitness and excited to be introduced to adult fitness equipment. This is an opportunity for children to learn how to use cardio machines and weight equipment safely and properly before navigating the fitness floor on their own. In addition, this program focuses on teaching children about healthy lifestyle choices that they can implement into their daily routine.

Here are some additional details regarding this program:

  • The program will run for 12 weeks (May 31 to August 21, 2022) and meet twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 4-5 pm each session.  Also available in 4-week sessions or as one 12-week session.
  • All classes will be led by FitRec personal trainers.
  • Activities will cover topics, such as cardiovascular exercise, strength equipment orientation and making exercise fun.
  • To register for this program, please stop by our Membership Services desk in the FitRec front lobby or use our online portal. Registration opens on Monday, May 16 and closes the Tuesday after each session begins or when the program reaches full capacity.  If not already submitted, account information will be collected and a safety waiver will need to be completed for each participant.
