Speed & Agility

The Speed & Agility program is designed for young athletes (ages 8–13) looking to improve their quickness, coordination, balance, and overall athletic performance. Through engaging drills and movement-based training, participants will develop faster reaction times, stronger footwork, improved stability, and more efficient movement patterns. Under the guidance of a certified personal trainer, this program supports athletes participating in all sports while building confidence and overall fitness.

  • Fall 1 Session Dates: Tuesdays, Sept. 15 – Oct. 20
  • Times:  5-5:45 p.m. each Tuesday
  • Cost: $75 for members / $90 for non-members
  • Minimums/Maximums:  min. 4/max. 12
  • Check-in at KidRec on program days

Intro to Lifting

Intro to Lifting introduces young athletes (ages 8–13) to the world of fitness in a safe, supportive, and educational environment. Under the guidance of a certified personal trainer, participants will learn how to properly use cardio machines and strength-training equipment while building confidence on the fitness floor. Each class emphasizes safety, proper technique, and age-appropriate fitness skills while encouraging healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

  • Fall 1 Session Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 19 – Oct. 24
  • Times:  9-9:45 a.m. each Saturday
  • Cost: $75 for members / $90 for non-members
  • Minimums/Maximums:  min. 4/max. 12

Youth Lifting II

Youth Lifting II builds upon the skills introduced in Intro to Lifting and is designed for participants (ages 8–13) who are ready to take their training to the next level. Under the guidance of a certified personal trainer, participants will develop strength, improve movement patterns, build endurance, and increase confidence through structured, age-appropriate workouts.  Requirement: Completion of at least one Intro to Lifting session prior to enrollment.

  • Fall 1 Session Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 19 – Oct. 24
  • Times: 10-10:45 a.m. each Saturday
  • Cost: $75 for members / $90 for non-members
  • Minimums/Maximums:  min. 4/max. 12

KidRec Dance Program

Learn the steps and show them off! Participants (ages 5–13) will learn a choreographed dance routine with the opportunity to perform at the Burbank Park District Winter Fest (performance details and any additional costs will be shared at a later date). With ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and poms-inspired styles, our instructor will teach fun, high-energy choreography while helping dancers build confidence, coordination, and stage presence.

  • Fall 1 Session Dates: Sundays, Sept. 20 – Dec. 6 (no class on Nov. 22), Winter Fest performance will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12
  • Classes & Times: 
    • Ballet & Jazz: 10:00–10:45 a.m. each Sunday
    • Poms & Hip-Hop: 11:00–11:45 a.m. each Sunday
  • Cost: $150 for members / $200 for non-members (cost per class)
  • Minimums/Maximums:  min. 4/max. 12
