FitRec is here to meet all of your birthday needs! Our birthday party specialists are here to customize a party that your child will always remember. Whether you want a pool party or a KidRec party, FitRec has an option for every celebrating family. Event staff will be available to you and your guests throughout your event. Recommended participant ages are 1-15.
To book your party, please fill out our online birthday party request form – All requests need to be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event date.

Pool Party
The pool party package allows access to a classroom for 3 hours. Guests will be allowed up to 1.5 hours in the pool at the start of the party (exclusive use of the pool) followed by 1.5 hours for food, presents, party games, etc., in the classroom. Two lifeguards will be assigned to supervise the pool.
Members – $275, Non-Members – $375, Up to 30 people (includes parents and children)
KidRec Birthday Party
The KidRec package allows for 3 hours in KidRec. Guests will have access to Kid Central, SportsZone (multi-purpose room), Tots Landing and the X-Rooms. One staff member will be scheduled to assist you throughout the party.

Member must have/keep active membership for 6 months to be eligible for member rate or subject to pay difference from non-member pricing and $40 early cancellation fee.

Rental Policies
- Any guests not feeling well or experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 must stay home. Do not come to the facility at least 10 days following any signs/symptoms.
- Food/drink
- Moraine Valley is an alcohol and tobacco free campus.
- Food/drink is allowed only in the designated spaces (Kid Central & Classroom)
- FitRec is responsible for setting up tables and chairs.
- Submit birthday party attendance list 24-hours prior to the start of the party. Last-minute changes must be submitted via e-mail.
- FitRec will clean/disinfect the reserved rooms before and immediately after the party.
- FitRec encourages the birthday party host to bring disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.
FAQs regarding birthday party rentals
What is the process for reserving a pool or KidRec party?
Reservation requests can be made by completing the online facility rental request. Only online submissions will be honored. Requests cannot be made over the phone or by email. There is a computer kiosk located at Membership Services that can be used to fill out the form if you are in the facility.
How much time in advance is needed to book a party?
Requests need to be made at least 3 weeks ahead of the booking date. However, this does not guarantee you will be given the requested date. Requests will be processed in the order they are received, so it is best to fill out the form as soon as possible.
When is payment due?
At the time of booking, a minimum of $50 deposit is due to reserve the space. This can be done at our Membership Services desk, KidRec front desk or over the phone. All rental fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the party. Access to the reserved rooms will be prohibited until all fees have been paid.

Is there time to set up and decorate the space before the rental?
Hosts are allowed access in the space 30 minutes before stated rental time. This will not be an additional cost to your rental.
What type of decorations are allowed?
It is recommended you use quick release tape, “painter’s tape,” or poster putty for securing decorations. Helium balloons are allowed. Machines that create smoke, mist or bubbles are not permitted. Loose decorations, such as glitter, confetti or beads are not permitted. The group is responsible for removing all decorations upon conclusion of the event.
What is the room capacity?
KidRec parties allow up to 40 participants, while pool parties allow up to 30 participants (includes children and parents).
Does FitRec provide table cloths and utensils?
FitRec does not provide tablecloths, serving utensils, napkins, cups, etc. This is the responsibility of the host of the party. FitRec will provide tables and chairs for all birthday parties.
What kind of food and beverage is allowed?
Food/drinks is permitted in the designated areas (Kid Central & Classroom B) only. Crock-pots are allowed. All other food warmers (i.e. sternos) are not allowed. A microwave, fridge/freezer, and sink are all available for KidRec parties. Moraine Valley is an alcohol-free campus. Alcohol is strictly prohibited in all areas in and around the FitRec property and grounds.
Will other people be in the space during rentals?
KidRec parties are reserved only for host and guests. All activity areas will be open during the rental. Pool parties will have exclusive use of the pool for 1.5 hours and access to a designated classroom for the 3-hour duration of the party.
For pool parties, are parents/guardians required to be in the water?
Parents/guardians should be prepared to swim in the event that the lifeguards identify a weak swimmer. Lifeguards will conduct a swim test (swim one length of the pool – 25 yards) at the start of the party. This will help to determine the swim skill level of all the guests in attendance.
What pool equipment is available for use during the pool party?
Noodles, kickboards, buoys are available for use. FitRec also has a limited supply of lifejackets available. Personal life jackets must be inspected and approved by the lifeguard on duty. Large inflatables, “dive” sticks/rings, and other objects that can be thrown are not allowed.
