Moraine Valley Community College will host three open information sessions for the public to learn more about the referendum the college is adding to the Nov. 3 ballot. In-person sessions will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 6 to 7 p.m., and Monday, Sept. 28, 9 to 10 a.m., in Building M, Moraine Room 3, on the college’s campus in Palos Hills, 9000 W. College Parkway. A virtual session also will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 29, noon to 1 p.m., and will be accessible at morainevalley.edu/PublicInfoSession.
Sessions will provide information about the referendum to issue $115 million in bonds to the college for the purpose of building, equipping, renovating and repairing buildings on campus. Attendees also will be able to ask questions about the referendum.
Homeowners in the district can learn more and see the minimal impact the referendum will have on their property using the tax calculator at morainevalley.edu/referendum26.
