The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. This program is for students who plan to major in disciplines such as Art, Business, Criminal Justice, Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English, History, Mass Communications, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education or Theater.

An Associate in Engineering Sciences (A.E.S.) offers a strong foundation in engineering studies, so students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully pursue an advanced degree. It involves lower-division coursework in science and mathematics that engineering majors require. Credits earned through an associate degree are highly transferrable to a four-year undergraduate engineering program.

The Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. This program is designed for students planning to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in disciplines such as Studio Art, Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, Illustration, Art Education or related visual and performing arts fields.

The Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) in Music is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music. The program prepares students for continued study in areas such as music performance, education, composition, theory or related fields.

The Associate in General Studies (A.G.S.) degree is designed for students whose academic or career goals cannot be met through a traditional associate degree program. Working closely with an academic advisor, students build a personalized plan of study by selecting courses from a variety of disciplines that align with their individual educational objectives.

The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. This program is ideal for students pursuing majors in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, health sciences, or other STEM-related fields. Along with completing general education requirements, you’ll build a strong foundation in math and science courses that prepare you for upper-level coursework at your transfer institution.
