The college has a rolling admissions process, which means prospective students may apply at any time and can begin classes during any semester.

After submitting your application, Moraine Valley will create your student account and provide instructions for accessing MVConnect, the college’s student portal. Through MVConnect, you can register for classes, explore degree and certificate pathways, access important student resources, view announcements and stay connected to campus services.

Student Types
Requirements vary based on your student type. Select your student type below for detailed, step-by-step enrollment instructions.
A returning student is any individual who has not been enrolled at Moraine Valley for at least two years (six semesters). Returning students must be readmitted to the college. If it has been more than six semesters since you last attended Moraine Valley, contact the Registration Office (Room S103) at (708) 974-2110 to update your account.
Students at Large are students who take credit courses without seeking a degree or certificate from Moraine Valley. This option is ideal for those looking to gain new skills, earn transfer credit or explore a subject of interest.
If you are a student who attends another college or university, but you’ve chosen to come to Moraine Valley for a few credit courses, you are considered a visiting university student. To enroll in a credit course at Moraine Valley, follow these steps:
