‘Ulterior Motives’ is next exhibit at Moraine Valley’s Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery

“Ulterior Motives” is the next exhibition at the Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery in the Moraine Valley Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC), 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills. The show runs Sept. 23 to Oct. 25, featuring a reception with the artist on Thursday, Oct. 1, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Ulterior Motives” features the work of Moraine Valley Studio Art faculty Tyler Hewitt. This is his retirement exhibition after 27 years of working with a variety of photo-based media. His pieces explore photography as both a concept and a medium and investigates photographic objects as material for creative intervention. His body of work also interrogates photography, its conception and use, as well as how and why it is a trusted medium.
