The Nancy Blane Guerra Service Award recognizes an administrative and professional staff member who demonstrates loyalty and dedication to the college’s mission and provides excellence in his or her work. The award is named in memory of Nancy Blane Guerra, a valued employee at Moraine Valley Community College until her death in April 1987. Ms. Guerra worked at the college for more than five years in several administrative positions, starting in the college's research department. Her last position was as the Assistant to the President. She is remembered as a kind, dedicated professional who was always willing to help her Moraine Valley colleagues. Candidates must have a minimum of three years full-time service at Moraine Valley. Employees may not receive the award more than once every five years.
