With many students reaching big milestones and graduating, we have a few ways to celebrate these achievements at home! Just because ceremonies are not taking place at school, families can still make their grad feel loved. Here are some ideas on how you can show how proud you are of your graduating student.
Decorate Your Lawn
- Make a custom lawn sign or decorate your door with streamers and balloons.
- Create sidewalk chalk drawings and messages.
Host a Drive-by Car Parade
- If you’ve got friends and family who live nearby, ask them to decorate their cars with signs and balloons and drive by your home on graduation day.
- Grad can stand in doorway or on lawn and wave to parade from a safe distance.
Create or Order a Graduation Cap
Have a Photo Shoot
- Photos are one of the most important parts of graduation day. Have your grad put on the outfit they would’ve worn on graduation and take photos around the house or backyard.
Make a “Congrats Grad” Video
- Ask friends and family to record their congratulations to view on day of graduation
