How long have you worked for FitRec?
I’ve worked at FitRec for 1 year.
What are your positions at FitRec?
My positions at FitRec are: Aqua Aerobics Instructor, Group X Instructor and a recently hired Building Manager.
What are you currently in school for?
I am currently attending Moraine Valley for my Associate’s Degree in Science. I am planning on transferring to UIC for Kinesiology and applying to their Physical Therapy program.
What is something not many people know about you?
People are surprised when I tell them that I’ve been a vegetarian for 8 years, and I’m still going!
How has working here helped your career development?
Working at FitRec has solidified my career choice of Physical Therapy. Engaging with FitRec members has really helped me connect with their stories as well as their fitness goals.
What is your favorite moment so far at FitRec?
My favorite moments so far at FitRec took place at the pool. As a previous head Lifeguard, I was blessed with meeting such amazing and hard working individuals. We went through weekly intensive training that truly connected us as a team.
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I had to eat one meal for the rest of my life, I would choose a Portillo’s chopped salad. That counts as a healthy meal, right?
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you and why?
I would love to see my look-a-like star, Amanda Seyfried playing the role of my life in a Hollywood movie. I love her personality off screen as well as her acting skills on screen.
