The presence of international students at Moraine Valley and the opportunity for American students to study abroad provides tremendous potential to gain a broader knowledge of the diverse and multicultural world we share. These opportunities, combined with coursework designed to include global perspectives, prepare students to succeed.
We provide students with language study, area studies, and culture studies and create globally infused courses and programs within transfer and career disciplines. We offer study-abroad opportunities along with on-campus events and programs.
Moraine Valley is preparing students to live and work in a global marketplace through the following efforts:
International Student Affairs
International students make significant contributions to the college's academic, cultural and economic vitality. Moraine Valley enables international students to have successful academic, cultural and personal experiences while enrolled at the college.
Global and Diversity Education
College faculty are committed to developing strategies and resources to infuse global and diversity education into course curriculum. Faculty members also are encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities related to international education.
As a member of the Illinois Consortium for International Studies and Programs, Moraine Valley offers more than 10 different study aboard opportunities for students interested in living abroad while also earning college credit.
