UPS Employee Education Partnership

Moraine Valley Community College and UPS have partnered to make career and technical education more affordable for eligible UPS employees at the Hodgkins facility. Through this partnership, qualifying employees receive the Moraine Valley in-district tuition rate for select programs and may also be eligible for additional financial assistance through the Chicagoland Regional College Program (CRCP).

Whether you’re looking to earn a certificate, complete an associate degree or advance your career, Moraine Valley offers flexible pathways designed to help you reach your goals.

Eligible Programs

Eligible UPS employees may receive the Moraine Valley in-district tuition rate when enrolled in:

Plant Engineering Mechanic Certificate
Integrated Systems Technology (AAS, certificates and stackable credentials)
Automation and Engineering Technology (AAS, certificates and stackable credentials)

Eligible UPS employees assigned to the Hodgkins facility receive the Moraine Valley in-district tuition rate for approved programs, reducing the overall cost of earning a certificate or degree.

Eligible employees may also utilize UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance in accordance with UPS program guidelines. UPS Earn & Learn generally requires eligible students to pay their balance in full and then reimburses the student directly. Financial aid is applied first. Students who already qualify for the in-district tuition rate because of residency may also use UPS Earn & Learn if eligible.

To receive the UPS tuition benefit, eligible employees must verify their employment with UPS (Hodgkins location) each academic semester.

Employment Verification

  • Submit a current UPS pay stub at the time you register for classes each fall, spring and summer semester.
  • Employment verification must be completed once per semester, even if you register for additional classes later in the semester (such as a second eight-week session)
  • The student is responsible for submitting the pay stub each semester, even if receiving CRCP grant funding
  • Tuition charges and any payment plan down payment will be calculated using the in-district tuition rate once employment has been verified.

Some eligible UPS employees may qualify for additional financial assistance through Moraine Valley’s Chicagoland Regional College Program (CRCP).

CRCP funding is limited and may vary by semester and academic year based on grant availability. Funding may not be available every term. For example, a student may receive CRCP support during one semester and utilize UPS Earn & Learn reimbursement during another.

Participation in the UPS tuition partnership does not require participation in CRCP. Students billed at the in-district rate because of residency may also use CRCP if eligible. CRCP participants remain eligible to retain their Pell Grant. Students may receive monthly stipends through CRCP even in semesters when CRCP is not paying tuition charges.

Students interested in CRCP funding should contact the CRCP team to determine current eligibility, available funding and any required application materials.

All UPS Students

  • Complete all Moraine Valley admissions, registration and financial aid requirements
  • Provide a current UPS pay stub to the Cashier’s Office (Building S-105) at the time of registration each fall, spring and summer semester
  • Submit the pay stub yourself each semester – employment verification is the student’s responsibility, including semesters in which CRCP funding is received
  • Maintain eligibility under UPS and Moraine Valley policies

Students Receiving CRCP Funding

  • Complete any required FERPA authorization forms
  • Provide grades and/or other required academic progress information to the CRCP program
  • Respond promptly to requests for documentation needed to determine or maintain CRCP eligibility
  • Meet all CRCP program requirements throughout the period of grant support

Failure to provide required documentation may delay tuition processing or grant disbursement.

Who is eligible?
Eligible UPS employees assigned to the Hodgkins/Willow Springs facility who enroll in approved Moraine Valley programs.

Do I need to submit a pay stub every semester?
Yes. A current UPS pay stub must be submitted at registration each fall, spring and summer semester.

If I register for a second 8-week class later in the semester, do I need another pay stub?
No. One employment verification is required per academic semester.

If CRCP pays my tuition, will they submit my pay stub?
No. Students are responsible for submitting their own current UPS pay stub each semester.

Can I receive both CRCP funding and UPS Earn & Learn?
Possibly. A student cannot have both CRCP and UPS Earn & Learn pay tuition charges for the same semester. However, students may receive CRCP stipends while either CRCP or UPS Earn & Learn covers tuition, subject to program eligibility.

Is CRCP funding guaranteed?
No. CRCP funding depends on grant availability and may vary by semester and academic year.

If I don’t receive CRCP or UPS Earn & Learn Funding, am I eligible for in-district tuition?
Yes. Students who do not qualify for tuition assistance through either UPS Earn & Learn or CRCP are still eligible to receive the Moraine Valley in-district tuition rate for approved programs if they submit a current UPS pay stub and meet program eligibility requirements.
