Serving students in grades 6-12, Educational Talent Search is a U.S. Department of Education TRIO program designed to motivate youth to stay in school, attain academic excellence, graduate from high school and enter college. Moraine Valley runs the program at Kellar Middle School and two district high schools, Eisenhower and Richards.
Eligibility
Participants must meet one of the following criteria:
- First-generation college-bound student (neither parent/guardian has received a bachelor's degree)
- Student with documented financial need
- Student in grades 6-12 (11-18 years old)
- Adult seeking re-entry services (18-27 years old)
- Student demonstrating academic potential and/or need for services
