It’s never too early to start thinking about college. Educational Talent Search serves students in grades 6-12, motivating them to stay in school, attain academic excellence, graduate from high school and enter college. ETS is a federally funded TRIO program via the U.S. Department of Education, which offers free services that range from improving kids’ self-esteem to filling out college application forms.

Eligibility

Participants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • First-generation college-bound student (neither parent/guardian has received a bachelor’s degree)
  • Student with documented financial need
  • Student in grades 6-12 (11-18 years old)
  • Adult seeking re-entry services (18-27 years old)
  • Student demonstrating academic potential and/or need for services

Moraine Valley brings services to youth in grades 6-12 who attend one of the following schools:

Kerr Middle School
Blue Island

Nathan Hale Middle School
Crestwood
