Moraine Valley Community College, and the State of Illinois, participate in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA). The agreement allows member institutions to offer online courses for students who may reside in other participating states.

Current member states can be found on the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements list of SARA States & Institutions. Any Moraine Valley student who desires to resolve a grievance is encouraged to first follow the college’s own complaint and reporting process.

If you are unable to resolve your concern internally with Moraine Valley, you may contact the Illinois Community College Board to further pursue your concern. The Illinois Community College Board, in coordination with Illinois Board of Higher Education, serves as the home portal agency under SARA.

Students who are unable to resolve their concern internally with the college and do not reside in a SARA member state must pursue their concern within their state of residency. At present, California, Florida, and Massachusetts are not members of SARA.
