Celebrating Our Graduates
Graduates, congratulations on earning a degree or certificate from Moraine Valley Community College! There’s no better way to celebrate this significant achievement than attending commencement. Crossing the stage is the perfect ending to the hard work, late nights and sacrifice you have put into gaining your credential. It’s time to relish in the joy and pride that comes with being a college graduate. Moraine Valley faculty and staff cannot wait to applaud you on May 19.
Family and friends, commencement is a celebration not only of personal achievement but also of the collective effort and support you have given to your graduate along the way. You have played an important role in their success. Thank you for helping make this day possible for your loved one. You are invited to use the form below to share a congratulatory message to your graduate that will play before the ceremony begins and be shared through the college’s social media
The ceremony will be live-streamed here and on the college's Facebook page for friends and family to watch.
And I graduated! Special thanks to my family, friends who have always helped and supported me to get where I am today. Thank you everyone who voted for my cap, I won🥇 place! And thanks Mom!! You’re sacrificed a lot for my future. It may take a lifetime but I’ll do everything to repay for what you have done for me. Hmm I think I’m quite ready for the next adventure 🌎 🤩 #classof2022 #graduationday #vietnamesegirl #international #morainegrads
Coming soon to a station near you! Congrats #MoraineGrads 😎🔥🚒
Summer weather + beautiful campus = the perfect place to study for finals ☀️
A few highlights from the High School Equivalency graduation ceremony last week! Congratulations to all of the new #MoraineGrads 👏🎓
Commencement day is finally here, and the anticipation for our #MoraineGrads to cross the stage and receive their diplomas is at an all time high. To give you a sneak peek of today’s festivities, we’re introducing this year’s student speakers!
Class of 2022 #MoraineGrads, it's almost your time to shine ✨ There's only 6 weeks until graduation, so be sure to order your caps and gowns online or in person at the bookstore if you're planning to participate in a commencement ceremony.
Just like that, classes have come to an end for the semester. Best of luck to everyone on their exams, and we're already looking forward to having you - and all of our new Moraine Valley students - back on campus in the fall! Except for our #MoraineGrads, who we are so excited to see cross the stage at commencement in just one short week 🙌
First up is Raven Terry, who finished up her studies at Moraine Valley last fall. She is currently attending UIC as a psychology major on a Pre-Med track with plans to become a psychiatrist. Raven wants to erase the stigma around going to therapy while joining a community where only 2% of psychiatrists in the United States are Black.
Next is Jamie Novick, who also completed her General Studies and Nursing degrees in last year, but will be returning to Moraine Valley this fall to continue her journey towards a career as a nurse educator. Taking care of people has always come naturally to Jamie, as is her interest in the health sciences.
You’ll hear from both of these incredible student speakers at the graduation ceremonies at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., which will also be live streamed online at the link in our bio.
Speaking of regalia, visit morainevalley.edu/grad22 linked in our bio for details on participating in our annual grad cap decorating contest! 🎓 The winner will receive a prize pack on graduation day.
