Rebeca Lagunas moved to the United States with her family when she was 10 years old and is happy to be continuing her education at Moraine Valley.
“One of my favorite things about the school is how the instructors really care so much about their students. They make sure you understand what they are teaching, and if you need help, they help.”
Working on an Associate of Science degree at the Education Center at Blue Island with plans to eventually earn a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration, Rebeca says she’d like to get experience in the business environment to help her further her goals of starting her own computer company. “But, I’m also really good in math, so maybe I’ll become an accountant, or I’ll do both.”
“I chose Moraine Valley because besides being close to home, it’s a really good environment. It’s like family here.”
