“I thought it would be a good way to get some gen eds out of the way,” says Nick Nunez of his decision to take summer classes at Moraine Valley.

As a biology major at Indiana University Bloomington with plans to go on to medical school, getting ahead on classes and saving money was important to him.

“I liked the small class size,” says Nick, who took Calculus here last summer. “I was able to focus more on a difficult class because I was taking fewer classes than I would during the fall or spring semester at my four-year school.”

He felt his instructor was very knowledgeable and he was able to get all of his questions answered better than he would have in a large lecture class at the university.

“I would definitely encourage students at four-year schools to come to Moraine Valley for summer classes because it’s convenient, more affordable and they have small class sizes,” he says.
