“I don’t fight, but the only time I did was because I was a boxer.”

Missy Carroll has been in cheerleading since 6th grade, but never thought she would cheer after high school. When she learned that Moraine Valley had a cheer club she joined because she still loved cheer. Missy and her teammates made history this year by being the first Moraine Valley cheer club to enter a competition, and they took first place!

Missy chose Moraine Valley for the Engineering Pathways program. She can start at Moraine Valley and transfer to the University of Illinois Urbana – Champaign as a junior with guaranteed acceptance in the College of Engineering.

“Moraine Valley was my best choice because I get all the opportunities I would get at a big university in a small setting.”
