Jennifer O’Brien has watched Moraine Valley grow, just as staff members have watched Jennifer grow from a toddler enrolled in the Children’s Learning Center to a student now enrolled in the Radiologic Technology Program.

“I always was around campus and in the Library with my mom (retired library cataloger Doreen O.). The Library is like home to me—they’re all family,” O’Brien said.

Armed with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a minor in secondary education from North Central College in Naperville, Jennifer spent five years teaching health classes but realized that wasn’t the right path. “I wanted to be an diagnostic imaging technician,” she said. “It’s actually something I’ve wanted to do since I was 18.”
