A small setting had big appeal for transfer student Alyssa Clark who came to Moraine Valley from a four-year university when it became apparent smaller classes would be more conducive to her educational needs.
“It makes it easier to pay attention and focus on what you’re learning,” Alyssa said. The class sizes at Moraine Valley’s Southwest Education Center (SWEC) in Tinley Park are just right for her as she’s carrying a 4.0 GPA
Alyssa is working on an Associate of Applied Science degree and hopes soon to enroll in the Radiologic Technology Program, a passion she developed while shadowing at St. James Hospital through Lincoln-Way North High School Medical Anatomy Program.
“I remember my first rotation was in the Radiology Department, and in an instant I knew this was what I wanted to do,” she said.
She also loves the welcoming staff and atmosphere at SWEC. Plus, she’s made a lot of new friends, and that adds to her enjoyment. “Once I visited, I knew Moraine Valley was a great choice for me.”
