Current students are invited to register for classes before registration opens to the general public. This gives current students the exclusive opportunity to enroll in the classes they need at the times that best fit their home, work and life schedules. Students often use their priority registration opportunity to enroll in classes taught by their favorite instructors before those classes reach capacity.

Priority registration also takes place before the first tuition payment is due so current students can register now, but pay later!

Specific priority registration dates and time are emailed to students’ Moraine Valley email account. Visit the MVConnect student portal to access your priority registration email, and to plan, search and register for classes. Students who need help selecting courses to meet their degree and career goals should contact Academic Advising, Building S, Room S201, (708) 974-5721.

Tips to Make the Most of Priority Registration

  1. Check your Moraine Valley student email (accessed through MVConnect) for your registration time, important college information and student resources.
  2. Check MVConnect for alerts that may prevent registration.
  3. Plan your next semester using the college’s Student Planning Tool, which helps students plan their courses to ensure they are meeting program requirements.
  4. Review the college’s tuition information and understand its payment options and due dates.
  5. Log into MVConnect early on your priority registration date to be among the first students registered for the next semester!
