Northwestern College Closure FAQs (7/9/24)
Moraine Valley Community College is not able to admit Northwestern College students into Medical Assisting*, Health Information Technology, Nursing, or Radiologic Technology. Students seeking admission to these programs will need to complete a Moraine Valley new student admission application, and all program prerequisites, and then apply for admission as a Moraine Valley student.
*Note: Medical Assistant is an open enrollment program at Moraine Valley; however, all courses with MOA prefixes must be completed at Moraine Valley.
Northwestern College indicated that Moraine Valley Community College will provide expedited admission and enrollment for Northwestern College students but this is not accurate. Statements made by Northwestern College were not vetted nor endorsed by Moraine Valley.
Moraine Valley will accept some general education courses. Core program courses for Medical Assisting, Health Information Technology, Nursing, or Radiologic Technology are not accepted.

For an official evaluation, students must complete a Moraine Valley admission application with a $25 non-refundable fee and send their official transcripts to the Moraine Valley Records office.

Northwestern College students seeking admission to Moraine Valley Community College can apply online at morainevalley.edu/admissions or contact the Admissions Office at (708) 974-5355, admissions@morainevalley.edu, or in-person in Building S, room S-101 at the Palos Hills campus.
Current and former Moraine Valley Community College students seeking to continue enrollment at Moraine Valley can contact the Academic Advising Center at advising@morainevalley.edu. Please note: the college cannot respond to general inquiries unrelated to Moraine Valley.
No, your financial aid package is specific to the college or university you are attending. However, you can apply for financial aid at Moraine Valley. Details are at www.morainevalley.edu/financialaid.
The Moraine Valley Financial Aid Office is hosting FAFSA (Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid) workshops where students can get additional help with completing their financial aid form.
Workshops will be held Tuesdays, every hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. held on our main Palos Hills campus in Building S, room 225.
