Looking for classes that don’t interfere with a hectic weekly schedule? Moraine Valley Community College offers weekend classes during the spring 2019 semester. Classes begin Jan. 14 and later and include:
- Fridays only—human anatomy and physiology I and II, general biology I, introductory microbiology, performance and driveability I, electrical/electronic systems II, manual transmissions and drivelines, basic nurse assistant training, introduction to marine biology, biology of human life, Microsoft Office I, American history I, composition I and II, speech fundamentals, machinery moving and set-up, digital logic/solid state devices, security awareness, trigonometric functions, introduction to body/mind fitness, outdoor recreation and nature study, mechanics, life-span developmental psychology, basic EKG application and theory, basic metallurgy and materials
- Friday/Saturday/Sunday—principles of macro-economics, principles of micro-economics, small group fitness training, American national government, introduction to psychology, life-span developmental psychology, unarmed security guard training, general sociology, marriage and family
- Friday/Saturday—cargo security, basic nurse assistant training, job skills for competitive advantage
- Saturdays only—introductory automotive technology, human anatomy and physiology I and II, managerial accounting, fundamentals of chemistry, sheet metal hand forming, prints for industry, HVAC troubleshooting, chemistry (university oriented) I, managing information security, security awareness, speech fundamentals, emergency medical technician, Microsoft Office I, intro to computer aided drafting, ethics, phlebotomy for health care providers, first aid, life-span developmental psychology, baking/pastry I, general sociology, Spanish I, film appreciation, basic arc/gas welding II
- Saturday/Sunday—basic nurse assistant training, American history I
- Sunday—speech fundamentals, intermediate algebra

Registration is ongoing. Tuition is $125 per credit hour plus fees and books. New students must complete an admission application, and then can register in the Registration Office, located on campus in the Student Services Center (Building S), 9000 W.
