Children and teens can choose from a wide variety of engaging, hands-on camps and classes to discover, imagine and create at the Valley Learning Center at Moraine Valley Community College in June and July.
Dozens of programs from a Harry Potter Tech Camp, LEGO robotics, sports and fitness, technology and theater, to reading, math, science, and musical instrument instruction, are offered at the Palos Hills campus, 9000 W. College Parkway.
New this year is the opportunity to design a half- or full-day camp that runs the week of June 18 to 28 or July 9 to 19. June options include an Arts and Crafts Camp for ages 8 to 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Campers in the CSI Moraine Valley Camp, offered the first week from 1 to 4 p.m., will conduct investigations, take fingerprints and hair samples, and do other CSI work. French Camp, offered June 18 to 28, from 1 to 4 p.m., introduces the language using a different theme for each lesson.
