Shorten that commute to Moraine Valley Community College by taking a summer class at one of its extension campuses—Southwest Education Center (SWEC), 17900 S. 94th Ave. in Tinley Park, and Education Center at Blue Island (ECBI), 12940 S. Western Ave.
Some credit classes include Composition I and II, Art Appreciation, Probability and Statistics, Medical Terminology, General Sociology, and Principles of Macroeconomics. There also are several noncredit classes offered at SWEC including Tai Chi I/Qi Gong I, Yoga I and Intro to Mindful Meditation, the latter of which also is offered at ECBI.

Tuition is $119 per credit hour plus fees and books.
