All hands on deck when Squonk presents “Hand to Hand” on Tuesday, Aug. 20, and Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
Performances will be at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on both days, and at 6 p.m. on Aug. 20, and 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 21, outdoors at the Gateway, located between Buildings F and M. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets.
“Hand to Hand” is propelled by a giant pair of inflated hands sailing through the air to Squonk’s original chamber rock complete with drums, bass, guitar, horns, organs and synths. Audience members are encouraged to have fun by joining in for this festive community of the imagination.
Along with Moraine Valley Community College, “Hand to Hand” has been co-commissioned by Artscape in Baltimore, Maryland; The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; Discovery Green in Houston, Texas; Three Rivers Regatta in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and FirstWorks in Providence, Rhode Island.
