New hours for the free COVID-19 testing clinics at Moraine Valley Community College’s sites will take effect Oct. 4. The Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) saliva test is being administered in the Moraine Rooms in Building M on the main campus in Palos Hills, and at the extension sites in Blue Island and Tinley Park. Testing is open to the community.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 4, testing hours are as follows:

  • Palos Hills campus, 9000 W. College Parkway, in Moraine Room 1, Building M: Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Education Center at Blue Island, 12940 S. Western Ave.: Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to noon (this site will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 5, only but will be open on Wednesday, Oct. 6)
  • Southwest Education Center, 17900 S. 94th, Tinley Park: Mondays, 9 a.m. to noon and Thursdays, 4 to 7 p.m.

Appointments are not being taken; simply walk in to get a test. Individuals must bring with them a valid picture ID and health insurance card (if they have health insurance). Results will be sent to the email address provided at registration within 12 to 24 hours of taking the test.

Masks are required inside all college buildings regardless of vaccination status. Guests also should maintain social distancing while on campus.
