Learn how to stop losing hundreds on your annual home energy costs at the Moraine Valley Community College New Energy Technologies Experience and Recycling Drive on Saturday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Moraine Business and Conference Center, Building M, 9000 W. College Pkwy. in Palos Hills.

The event is free and open to the public.

Interactive displays (such as Smart Meter technology) and resources will demonstrate how to combat at-home energy waste with money-saving strategies. Visitors also can discover available energy-saving incentives in the area. Home energy services experts will meet with interested attendees one-on-one.

In addition, people can recycle and dispose of textiles, e-waste and unwanted pharmaceuticals. See the entire list of accepted items.

The first 50 people through the door will receive a free home energy savings starter kit. All attendees also are eligible to win a handheld home energy management device.
