The Moraine Valley Community College Psychology Department is hosting its 15th annual mental health event, this year focusing on “Anxiety 101: Understanding and Managing It,” on Thursday, April 28, 11 a.m. The presentation will be held online.

During this 90-minute program, presenters Courtney DeCarlo, therapist and co-owner of Oswego Wellness, and Kelley Olenski, therapist, will discuss symptoms of anxiety, risk factors, prevalence, coping skills and treatment options.

The pandemic, the political and economic climate, and myriad other stressors have left many people feeling uncertain and anxious. This program will help people understand anxiety and learn how to better manage it.

This event is free and open to the public. Access the link at morainevalley.edu/mentalhealth.
