Your cheers could help determine the winner of the annual Battle of the Bands contest Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m., at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
Prizes will be awarded to the top-three bands based on instrumental skills, creativity and originality, and audience response. All bands are local and include at least one Moraine Valley student.
Tickets are $3 each and available at the door the night of the event, which will be held in the Student Union, Building U. Proceeds from ticket and concession sales will be donated to PAWS in Tinley Park, a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to the protection of domestic animals and to finding them safe and permanent homes.
