Securing a 10-Hour OSHA card may increase the chance of employment in construction. Moraine Valley Community College will offer an OSHA 10-Hour construction workshop at its Palos Hills campus, 9000 W. College Pkwy, in November.

The free OSHA 10-Hour construction workshop will be Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is offered in partnership with the Illinois Teamsters/Employers Apprenticeship and Training Fund affiliated with Joint Councils 25 and 26. Upon successful completion of the required OSHA exam, students will receive a 10-Hour construction card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor. This card is a resume booster and can be presented to current or future employers.
