The Moraine Valley Community College Juried Student Art Exhibition, an annual student showcase since 1994, is being hosted online. Twenty-four works of art, ranging from watercolor paintings and digital art to photography and ceramics, can be viewed online.

“This is an important event every year for these students and their families, especially those who are graduating. We thought hosting it virtually would be a way for the students to see their work showcased and see the other students’ work. I felt like they would be missing this opportunity if we didn’t find a way to do it,” said Chris Matusek, assistant professor of Art.

Feedback from her students has been very positive.

“They are thrilled their pieces are being showcased and very excited to see everyone else’s work. I’m very excited about it, too,” Matusek said.

Student artwork was created by Celine Alonzo, Monica Campana, Ethan Damian, Marissa Delich, Jamie Fields, Jolene Fritsch, Genae Grabowski, Ewelina Jurkowski, Saja Khalil, Lila Koszulinski, Karen Luevano, Millie McMahon, Leona Petreikis-Sillunas, Sydney Rastrullo, Lisette Vargas, Vernessa Williams and Abigail Wise.
