The Peking Acrobats are accompanied by live musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments.
The Peking Acrobats set the world record for the Human Chair Stack on Fox Network’s “Guinness Book Primetime” in 1999, where they balanced six people on six chairs 21 feet in the air without a safety net or lines. The group also has been featured on several TV shows, including “Ellen’s Really Big Show,” “The Wayne Brady Show,” “ABC’s Wide World of Sports” and “NBC’s Ring in The New Year Holiday Special.” Some company members were featured in the films “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen.”
The Peking Acrobats have achieved international acclaim, thrilling audiences around the world. They are part of a time-honored Chinese tradition, rooted in centuries of history and folk art. Each generation of acrobats must add its own improvements and embellishments to the performance and because of this, high honor is conferred on those skilled enough to become acrobats. This group integrates folk art traditions with 21st century technology to deliver an inventive and groundbreaking performance.
