Artwork from local, young artists will be showcased at the Moraine Valley Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center’s (FPAC) 41st annual High School Art Exhibition in the Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery, atrium and John and Angeline Oremus Theater, 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills, from March 7 to 13.
This yearly exhibit displays a variety of creative and original pieces by area students from Andrew, Argo, Chicago Christian, Evergreen Park, Oak Lawn, Reavis, Sandburg and Stagg high schools. The juried exhibit features a variety of art mediums such as jewelry, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing and more. All entries will be displayed, in addition to the award winners. A reception will take place in the gallery on Friday, March 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with an open house on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The gallery is holding special hours for this exhibit March 10 through 13, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
