In preparation for the upcoming primary election on March 17, Moraine Valley Community College will register people to vote on Tuesday, Jan. 28 and Wednesday, Jan. 29, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Building U, Room U111, on campus, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.

To vote in Illinois, residents must:

  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be 17 years or older on or before the date of the primary election and turn 18 on or before the date of the general or consolidated election
  • Live in their election precinct at least 30 days prior to election day
  • Not be serving a sentence of confinement in any penal institution
  • Not claim the right to vote anywhere else.

Moraine Valley’s voter registration drive is open to anyone who meets the eligibility requirements and is sponsored by the college’s Democracy Commitment Committee and Student Life Office.
