An evening of adventure and entertainment awaits guests at the annual Moraine Valley Community College Foundation Fundraising Gala on Friday, April 26, at Moraine Valley, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.
The gala, which is the Foundation’s largest fundraising event, will begin at 6:30 p.m., with a three-course dinner, open bar, live entertainment, and silent and live auctions. The evening’s theme, “Greatest Show,” pays tribute to the college’s Fine and Performing Arts Center in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
“Our Greatest Show celebrates Moraine Valley’s rich 25-year history of bringing fine and performing arts to our local communities. We welcome everyone to attend and be dazzled with live performances throughout the evening while raising money to support the million dreams we are going to make for our students,” said Kristy McGreal, CAE, executive director of the Moraine Valley Foundation.
Activities will include games with great prizes and live auctions with numerous travel packages, featuring unique dining experiences with professional chefs and family-friendly packages. New this year is a Golden Ticket, which gives gala-goers access to all of the games, raffle and activities for one price. Purchased individually, the cost would be $115, but with the purchase of a Golden Ticket, it is $75.
Tickets to the gala are $150 each or a table of eight for $1,200, and can be purchased online at morainevalley.edu/foundation/annual-gala. Raffle tickets also are available to purchase online for $15 each or $50 for four.
“This event is our opportunity to raise more than $100,000 to support academic and need-based scholarships, emergency assistance funds for students who are struggling to remain in school, grant funds to faculty and staff who have innovative projects, and fine and performing arts programming for both the campus and local community,” McGreal said.
The Foundation is extremely grateful to the event sponsors for their generous support. This year’s sponsors include: UPS, Platinum; Demonica Kemper Architects and PepsiCo, Gold; Legat Architects, Silver; First Midwest Bank and the legal practice of Rosenthal, Murphey, Coblentz & Donahue, Supporting.
Persons who are unable to attend are welcome to support the event through the purchase of raffle tickets or the silent auction, which will open on April 15, at https://one.bidpal.net/mvccgala.
