Classic music will be performed at the Summer Breeze Flute Recital Friday, March 31, at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills.
Presented by Tammi Carlson, associate professor of Music at the college, the recital will begin at 7 p.m., in the John and Angeline Oremus Theater inside the Fine and Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.
Carlson has served as director and coordinator of music for various churches in the south suburbs, is a member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Orchestra in Joliet, performs throughout the Chicagoland area, and adjudicates for state solo and ensemble contests as well as the Sherwood Conservatory Festival of Flutes. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Valparaiso University and a Master of Music degree from Roosevelt University.
