Run, swim and bike through an indoor triathlon or duathlon on Sunday, Feb. 27, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Moraine Valley Community College Health, Fitness & Recreation Center (FitRec), 9000 W. College Parkway, in Palos Hills.

Beginners, amateurs and elite athletes are all encouraged to compete in this indoor event that includes a 10-minute swim, 20-minute bike and 15-minute run for the triathlon, and a 15-minute run, 20-minute bike and 15-minute run for the duathlon. Each activity has different transition times, but a volunteer will tally each competitor’s distances. Start times will be designated during registration.

Winners will be determined by distance, and medals will be awarded following the event. Race results will be posted on the FitRec website. Spectators are only allowed in designated areas of the facility.

All participants must abide by current FitRec facility policies that align with COVID-19 mandates during the event, which includes all users over the age of 5 must be vaccinated to enter the building.

Anyone 12 and older can participate. Registration is $30 for FitRec members, $45 for nonmembers and $20 for Moraine Valley students.
