The Moraine Valley Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC) has hosted its free “Meet the Artist” series live on Facebook and YouTube for nearly a year. It will end the series with two final guests in April.
Tommy Hensel, managing director of the FPAC, interviews popular artists who have previously performed at the college. In the final session, he will interview Moraine Valley alumnus Ronnie Malley on Tuesday, April 6, at 7 p.m. The final interview will be of Hensel and conducted by Mallory Lewis and Lamb Chop (the first interview in the series) on Tuesday, April 13, at 7 p.m.
Malley is a multi-instrumentalist musician, actor, sound designer, producer and educator with several theater credits that include the Broadway-based musical “The Band’s Visit” and “American Griot.” Hensel has worked for more than 35 years as a professional actor, singer, stage manager, director and arts presenter, and he was the founding artistic director of the Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival.
