The Moraine Valley Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC) is continuing its free “Meet the Artist” series live on Facebook and YouTube every other Tuesday starting Jan. 19.
Tommy Hensel, director of the FPAC, will interview popular artists who have previously performed at the college. Over the next few weeks, he will interview Cabaret artists from the Chicago area, who will answer questions posted by viewers and may give impromptu performances.
All interviews will start live at 7 p.m. on the following dates:
- Jan. 19 – Marianne Murphy Orland
- Feb. 2 – David Edelfelt
- Feb. 16 – Hilary Ann Feldman
- March 2 – Joan Curto
Orland, who starts the 2021 series, has performed as a Cabaret artist, voice actor, and show band and society orchestra singer locally and nationally, including at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre, Park West, Victory Gardens, Drury Lane, Omaha Playhouse, Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret, Skokie Theatre and the Metropolis Center for Performing Arts.
