The Moraine Valley Community College Chorale and Chamber Singers is scheduled to perform “Rialto Home for the Holidays” on Monday, Nov. 22, 7 p.m., at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois.
The group opened the holiday season at the venue two years ago, performing a festive concert to a packed house, and were invited to return this year. Under the direction of Nick Thomas, Moraine Valley director of choral activities and Fine Arts and Humanities department chair, the Chorale has a holiday set list with tunes such as “Somewhere in My Memory,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “Christmas on Broadway” and “Glad Tidings of Joy” among several others along with some special holiday guests. This is the opening holiday show at the Rialto.
“They’re glad we’re willing to do it again. We were the most successful opening night they had,” Thomas said. “It’s nice to have our own show at the Rialto. We have a lot of fun things planned.”
In its 24th season, the Moraine Chorale is a community-based choir with more than 70 members. For more information on its next performances, visit morainevalley.edu/fpac.
