Continue your education, earn a certificate or learn for fun this fall at Moraine Valley Community College. Registration is underway for the fall 2019 semester, which starts Aug. 19 with credit classes on the main campus. Credit classes at the Education Center at Blue Island and Tinley Park Education Center begin Aug. 26.
Moraine Valley offers classes for students who want to transfer to four-year colleges or universities by earning associate degrees in Applied Science, Arts, Fine Arts, Science, Engineering or General Studies. Students also can choose from several certificate career programs offered at the college, including Allied Health and Nursing, Business and Computer Sciences, Industrial Technology, Automotive Technology, and Public Service. Additionally, the college offers a number of noncredit courses and workshops.
Courses are offered in different formats to accommodate students’ needs. Flexible learning options include evening, off-campus, one-day-a-week, online, short-term and weekend classes.
Compared to four-year colleges or universities, Moraine Valley can save hundreds or thousands of dollars. The cost of a single three-credit-hour course is $447 compared to in upwards of $2,904 elsewhere
