Featured classes by subject area include:

History – Explore the history of diseases and public health in the History of the “Spanish” Flu, A Short History of Medicine and Public Health in America, and Epidemics in American History. Military history buffs will enjoy A Short History of World War II and Korean War.

Career Training – Those seeking compliance with the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation continuing education requirement can complete their Anti-Harassment Training online. This regulation is required for social workers, public accountants, professional counselors, massage therapists, nursing home administrators, occupational therapists and nurses.

Computer Training – Basics of Selling on eBay class helps those looking to sell their unwanted treasure. Receive an overview of social media platforms and small business best practices in Basics of Social Media for Small Businesses.

Culinary – Enhance your cooking skills by learning something new, like working with bread in our Sourdough Bread 101 or How to Braid Breads: Challah Bread classes. Enjoy cooking with the whole family in Decorated Summer Cookies with the Family. Other classes include, Homemade Cinnamon Rolls, Meringues and Pavlovas, and Fruit James, Jellies and Chutney’s.

Film – Expand your knowledge of film in a five-part class series that includes A Brief History of Film, Arranging the Scene, Cinematography, Film Editing and Film Sound.

Fitness and Health – Learn mindfulness practices that help enhance your well-being and work differently with the stressors in your life through the Introduction to Meditation class.
Languages – Conversational Italian teaches you the basics of grammar and popular phrases to provide you with the building blocks of learning the language.

Personal Development – Make the most of your time at home through organizational classes like An Organized Kitchen, Clear the Clutter, Get a Grip on Paper Management, Downsizing the Right Way, and Stress Management.
