Making science fun for everyone is the name of the game at the family-oriented show “Doktor Kaboom! Look Out! Science is Coming!” on Friday, Sept. 27, 7:30 p.m., at the Moraine Valley Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC), 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.
Comedy and science meet when Doktor Kaboom takes audiences of all ages on an interactive, educational tour of modern scientific method using humor while demonstrating some explosive applications of the physical sciences. He has been termed “part Mister Wizard, part Mr. Rogers.”
Through this lively show, he demonstrates topics in safety; pressure and force; simple machines; velocity; application of science to everyday life; the scientific method of hypothesis and experimentation; constant discovery of new information and data; chemical reactions, exothermic, external and chemical formula; mass; air pressure and demonstration vs. experimentation.
