An array of art will be on display at the annual Moraine Valley Community College Juried Community Art Exhibition through Aug. 7, in the Fine and Performing Arts Center’s (FPAC) Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery and atrium, 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.

Photos, paintings, drawings and works from 57 artists in the community were judged by Jeff Stevenson, an arts writer, college professor, painter, artist, and curator and director at Governors State University. The following awards were presented during a reception on June 17:

First place – Vivian Zapata, of Skokie, for a mixed media piece, “Still Life With Canary”

Second place in the Moraine Valley Community College Juried Community Art Exhibition is “Afternoon Light, Tree” by Mary Ann Trzyna.

Second place – Mary Ann Trzyna, of Frankfort, for a pastel, “Afternoon Light, Tree”

Third place – Julie Kloehn, of Palos Heights, for graphite, “Ian”

Honorable mention – TD Paulius, of Orland Park, for screen print, “Road #1 Custom Service, South Bend, Indiana”

Honorable mention – John Howard, of Crestwood, for oil on canvas, “Lady in Red”
