Moraine Valley Community College has earned a Best-in-Class Employer Seal for its high level of employee engagement and a seal for its high level of overall job satisfaction, according to a national human resources consulting firm.
Avatar HR Solutions, Chicago, recognized the college for its “outstanding engagement scores” compiled from a survey of Moraine Valley employees in the fall. The college’s scores were within the top 10 percent of Avatar HR Solutions’ database of the organizations they survey nationally. Moraine Valley’s level of engaged employees ranks in the 94th percentile.
In December 2012, the college received a seal for its high level of employee engagement. The college increased its scores in each of the five dimensions it was measured on in the most recent survey, resulting in the two Best-in-Class seals.
“This announcement of our recognition is wonderful news,” said Dr. Sylvia Jenkins, college president. “We have a very caring and supportive culture at Moraine Valley, so this just a tremendous reinforcement of what we feel and see every day. I am really proud of the efforts our faculty, staff and students make so that Moraine Valley continues to be an attractive place where they want to work and study.”
