Effective immediately, Moraine Valley Community College’s main campus in Palos Hills and locations in Tinley Park and Blue Island are closed to the public.

Currently, there are no known or reported cases of exposure to COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus, on campus, and no students or employees have tested positive for the virus. The move to restrict access to campus buildings is precautionary and in keeping with the state’s direction prohibiting gatherings of more than 50 people.

Access to the campus is limited to essential employees and currently enrolled students who have scheduled appointments or pre-authorization from college personnel. No loitering will be allowed.

The college is closed on Friday, March 20. Classes are scheduled to resume Monday, March 23, in an online format for a minimum of four weeks, ending April 19. Adjustments and notifications will be made as the situation evolves.
