Maryann Flock is energizing the Chicagoland area as a versatile musician, but her endeavors have spanned the United States and Europe. Flock served as the conductor and music director of the prestigious Fox Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. Flock has commanded various other ensembles including the Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra, Illinois State University, and Benedictine University. While at Benedictine, her ensembles were selected to perform for dignitaries such as President George Bush and wife Barbara Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Colin Powell, Madeleine Albright and Julie Andrews.

Additionally, Flock is the founding director of the New Horizons Band DuPage, now in its 23rd season. New Horizons’ ensembles have presented and participated in the National Association for Music Education in Illinois and Ohio. Active as a performer, Flock cantors at St. Scholastica Parish in Woodridge, and performs as a pianist with the New Horizons Jazz Band.
